Tsarskoye Selo is located twenty five kilometers to the south of St. Petersburg. Here you can visit one of the most beautiful palaces in the world -Catherine’s Palace with its famous Amber Room. The color combination of gold, blue and white of the unimaginably long facade of The Palace delightfully amazes all, who see this masterpiece of architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli built in 1757 by the order of Elizabeth I. This is the brightest Palace in the world in the Baroque style. Its beauty is revealed not only in the facade, but also in the interiors of the palace. We will enjoy the luxuriant decoration of the rooms of the long suite, we'll see the splendid Throne room with its excellent gilded ornaments and, of course we will visit the pearl of Russia - the Amber Room!

Peterhof (Park only)

Peterhof is located 40 kilometers to the West of St. Petersburg on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland. In contrast to the Catherine’s Palace in Tsarskoye Selo, the Grand palace in Peterhof looks more modest, because it was the first work of the architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli to remodel an old Palace of Peter the Great into sumptuous baroque by the order of his daughter Empress Elizabeth. The main attraction here is not the Grand Palace, but the Park. Due to the large number of Fountains, Peterhof is rightly called the Northern Versailles. The Samson Grand Cascade has more than 150 jets of water. Its spectacular view, with several dozen gilded statues, impresses all visitors. Totally there are 154 fountains and cascades in the Parks of Peterhof .
